Job Responsibilities.
You will provide inspection of quality of work in accordance with the
client's policies and procedures as it relates to coating, while working under the direction of our Paint Supervisor.
Your responsibilities/duties will include the following:
  • Execute specific visual inspections and testing of material, equipment, fabrication, and construction/installation activities.
  • Verify proper material in accordance with client specifications.
  • Check and record environmental conditions prior to and throughout coating operations.
  • Verify the use of proper blast media and performs visual checks after blasting operations to verify substate meets client's standards.
  • Ensure a quality product.
  • Verify proper mixing and applicable ratios are followed. Witness application by approved methods.
  • Carry out wet and dry film thickness checks.
  • Perform visual inspection on completed coating system.
  • Verify storage of all coating material is in accordance with the manufacture's recommendations.
  • When necessary, perform destructive testing in accordance with ASTM/SSPC/ISO standards.
  • Verify delivered material adheres to client's specifications.
  • Inspection and troubleshooting of coating operations, and coordination with production personnel to resolve issues to ensure a quality product.
  • Communicating with manufacturers and technical support personnel to resolve issues in the field.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner for Quality Control purposes.
  • Possess the ability to work and communicate effectively while working independently or within small teams.
  • Ensuring that all safety protocols are being followed, including proper PPE, storage, application, and all other precautions as indicated on Safety Data Sheets.

  • Prior experience as NACE Level 2 inspector in order to qualify.
  • Must have prior experience in construction fabrication.
  • Experience using safe work habits.
  • You must be able to provide your own transportation to and from the Amelia yard daily.
