Key Responsibilities:

  • Operates paint equipment and utilizes supplies. Mixes and applies basic and industrial paint as per specifications.
  • Measurepaint thickness as per specifications.
  • Inspectfinal product, ensuring conformance to specifications.
  • Performdaily maintenance and minor repairs of painting equipment.
  • Maskskids for sandblasting and painting.
  • Clean and prepares skids for painting.
  • Packageskids for shipping.
  • Performrigging techniques as per industry standards.
  • Operateforklift and overhead cranes to transfer skids and packages throughout shop.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience painting and/or sandblastingin an industrial capacity.
  • Knowledge of industrial coatings and painting techniques.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and coating specifications.
  • Familiarity with coating inspection methods and quality standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and workmanship.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and physical stamina.
  • Commitment to safety and quality
  • Previous experience with water based, epoxy paint and primer mixing requirements an asset.
  • Previous experience with rigging and overhead cranes is an asset.
  • Valid forklift certification is an asset.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

  • Must have own transportation as facility is not accessible by public transportation.
  • Must have CSA approved safety boots
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada.
