Painter (Apartment Community) Location: Washington, DC Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Apartment Painter to prepare and paint apartment units, common areas and building exteriors/interiors. The ideal candidate will ensure high-quality finishes while maintaining a safe, clean and efficient work environment to prepare apartments for new and current residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, scraping, sanding, patching holes, and applying primer.
  • Paint walls, ceilings, doors, trim, cabinets, and other surfaces using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
  • Match paint colors and finishes according to company standards.
  • Repair drywall damage, cracks, and minor imperfections before painting.
  • Protect floors, furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces from paint damage.
  • Clean and maintain painting tools and equipment.
  • Complete apartment turnovers within required timelines.
  • Follow all safety procedures and properly handle paints, solvents, and equipment.
  • Communicate with supervisors regarding project status and material needs.
  • Assist with other basic maintenance tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Previous residential or commercial painting experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation, and finishing methods.
