Paid Training information

What is paid training?

A Paid Training job is a position where employees receive compensation while undergoing training for a specific role or skill. This can include on-the-job training, classroom instruction, or a combination of both. Employers use paid training to prepare new hires or upskill current employees without requiring them to cover training costs. These jobs are common in industries like sales, customer service, healthcare, and skilled trades. The goal is to ensure employees are fully equipped to perform their duties effectively.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in paid training, and why are they important?

To excel in a paid training program, strong motivation to learn, adaptability, and a willingness to develop new skills are essential, along with any minimum education or experience requirements specified by the employer. Participants may use learning management systems (LMS), company-specific software, and may be required to earn workplace safety or compliance certifications. Effective communication, teamwork, and a proactive attitude help trainees stand out and integrate quickly within their future roles. These skills ensure that individuals maximize the benefits of paid training by mastering key competencies and preparing for long-term success at the company.

What can I expect during the paid training period in terms of daily activities and support?

During paid training, you can expect a structured blend of classroom learning, hands-on practice, and mentorship from experienced colleagues or supervisors. Daily activities may include attending lectures, participating in group workshops, completing practice tasks, and receiving regular feedback to track your progress. Many companies provide dedicated trainers or onboarding specialists to answer questions and guide you through learning modules. This supportive environment is designed to equip you with the essential knowledge and skills needed to excel in your future position, ensuring a smooth transition into the job.

Job description

My Wireless, a nationwide authorized retailer for Liberty Mobile PR, has an immediate opening for a Liberty Mobile PR – Retail Kiosk Associate to join its growing Liberty team in Puerto Rico. As a Liberty Mobile PR Retail Sales Representative, you will help provide the best customer experience and technology solutions from a variety of products and services offered by Liberty.

Liberty Mobile PR Part-Time Retail Kiosk Associates at My Wireless are offered a competitive rate of $12.00 per hour base pay plus commissions based on a draw system — you will earn whichever is higher between your base pay or your earned commissions. Associates also enjoy the following perks:

  • Ongoing paid training

  • Exciting career paths and growth potential

  • Uncapped commission program when meeting or exceeding sales goals

  • Paid Vacation Time

  • You will receive a welcome kit of fun gear to get you started, which includes 2 Liberty work shirts.

  • Exclusive sales contests and incentives for hitting key Liberty initiatives, including The My Wireless President Club — an exclusive recognition reserved for our top-performing Sales Representatives!

As a Liberty Mobile PR Retail Kiosk Associate for My Wireless, your job duties will include:

  • Approach and greet walk-by traffic proactively — in a kiosk setting there's no door, so you must create the interaction.

  • Build rapport fast since conversations are shorter than in a full store.

  • Conducting consistent cold calls to proactively generate leads, expand the customer base, and drive additional sales opportunities beyond walk-in traffic.

  • Helping Liberty wireless customers make buying decisions by delivering outstanding customer service

  • Training and developing your skills to become a top Liberty Retail Kiosk Associate, which leads to opportunities on our management team!
