Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Traffic Management Center Operator to be based in Nashville, TN.  This will be an opportunity located onsite. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control traffic management devices (CCTV, Dynamic Message Signs, etc.) across Davidson County highways.
  • Support first responders, emergency management, and law enforcement communications.
  • Detect and report incidents, dispatch service patrols, assist first responders, and notify the public.
  • Handle calls from various persons, organizations, and agencies.
  • Create and submit work orders for equipment failures or malfunctions.
  • Use software applications to control ITS field devices, monitor traffic flow, and perform data analysis.
  • Ensure the accuracy of data submissions in logs, reports, and documentation.
  • Provide guidance to responders and motorists during severe traffic events.
  • Post alerts, notifications, and messages as needed.
  • Assist in coordinating responses to disasters and high-profile events affecting roadways.
  • Perform other related duties as directed.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in traffic management or a related field.
  • Strong communication and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency with traffic management software and devices.
