Responsibilities
  • Provide executive support to Global Tax - a group of lawyers, economists and accountants. Including, but not limited to, support for tax disputes, mergers and acquisition, compliance and trade and customs activities.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and external advisors to effectively manage day-to-day coordination of the Global Tax Teams' respective duties.
  • Manage multiple tax controversy cases simultaneously, ensuring deadlines all are met.
  • Prepare and file tax protest letters, responses to information requests, and other submissions, as required.
  • Implement and maintain systems for organizing Tax deadlines and deliverables
  • Maintain and update databases of key documents for the Tax team.
  • Manage internal processes across the Tax team for executing agreements, maintaining records, and coordinating with stakeholders.
  • Assist with IRS, or foreign government, communications and filings including filing tax forms, transcript requests, power of attorney documents, and other relevant communications, as needed
  • Manage a broad range of complex administrative duties, such as scheduling meetings, preparing reports and meeting materials, editing documents, furnishing information, responding to routine correspondence, assisting with technical support, and processing expense reports.
  • Organize complex domestic/international travel arrangements, with detailed itineraries. Coordinate flights, hotel accommodations, car service, visas, dining reservations, etc.

Qualifications
  • High attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and people skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and clients. Collaboration and facilitation skills to work with various departments and facilitate their ability to work with each other.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team, and to delegate and manage resources effectively.
  • Exhibit high degree of initiative and critical-thinking skills in exercising independent judgment and making decisions in managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, detail-oriented work environment.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Self-starter with demonstrated instances of taking initiative.
  • Creative thinker who is resourceful and anticipatory of the needs of their assignments.

Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience preferred.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience required, preferably in a legal or professional services environment.

Bay Area, CA MIN $86,310.00-MID $115,070.00- MAX $143,840.00
