Overview
 
As a Press Operator, you will support Brightstar Lottery’s production operations by assisting with the setup, operation, and monitoring of advanced flexographic printing presses used to manufacture instant lottery tickets. Under the direction of the Press Lead and Press Lead Backup, you will help ensure safe, efficient production while maintaining strict quality, security, and performance standards in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role is fully onsite in Lakeland, Florida, and with 12 hour scheduled shifts.
 
What You'll Do
  • Interpret job sheets to ensure accurate press setup and execution
  • Select anilox rolls, print sleeves, substrates, and materials appropriate for each job
  • Prepare and stage ink vats according to press and deck requirements
  • Mount plates, load ink, and adjust pH and viscosity to meet quality standards
  • Monitor press performance, web inspection cameras, and strobes during production
  • Adjust impression, plates, and registration to maintain print accuracy
  • Load and unload print sleeves, rolls of material, and substrates
  • Operate unwinders and manage substrate flow during print runs
  • Record production metrics, including footage printed, ink usage, and quality samples
  • Tag and track rolls to ensure proper material identification
  • Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures within the facility
What You'll Bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of related mechanical, manufacturing, or printing experience
  • Strong attention to detail with a consistent commitment to quality
  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with industrial equipment
  • Able to follow detailed procedures and production workflows
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods, up to 12 hours per shift

  • Comfort working around noise, heat, inks, paper dust, and moving machinery
  • Visual capability to inspect printed materials for quality and defects

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range for this role is $28.00 - $30.00 per hour. The actual pay offered may be higher or lower. The Company complies with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

Base pay is one part of our Total Rewards program. Non-exempt roles are eligible for irregular discretionary bonuses. In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance. Note: programs are subject to eligibility requirements.
