Zantech is looking for a talented and creative Social Media Graphic Designer/Multimedia Specialist whose superpower is visual communication. Your primary mission for our premier Federal Government website (www.army.mil) is to help our team communicate our messaging clearly, boldly, and beautifully. You will translate abstract ideas and complex concepts into scroll-stopping social media graphics that engage our audience and spark conversation.
The position requires expertise in advanced design software and video production while maintaining strict adherence to Army.mil visual standards.
What You Will Do
You will partner closely with our creative team to turn core messages and big ideas into highly engaging, shareable visual content for all social media platforms. By utilizing your mastery of typography, color, and layout, you will ensure our brand's voice is not just heard but seen and felt by our audience. Ultimately, you will constantly push creative boundaries to keep our visual storytelling fresh, innovative, and ahead of the curve.

General Responsibilities include, but will not be limited to:
  • Complete approximately 80 multimedia projects annually across varying complexity levels
  • Use Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat Pro) for design development
  • Ensure compliance with Visual Guide specifications
  • Manipulate video and integrate graphics, animations, sound, and text into consolidated products
  • Assist in defining requirements and prioritizing graphic design work

Key Duties include, but will not be limited to:
  • Key Responsibilities: Create High-Impact Visual Products
  • Provide guidance and feedback on Army branding and style to other units and content creators.
  • Design and develop 80+ multimedia projects annually (85% low complexity, 10% moderate complexity, 5% high complexity)
  • Create technical, promotional, instructional, and informational materials including:
    • Creating and editing social media videos, often using b-roll, to create captivating, on-brand videos
    • Creating social media posts using images from the DAM matched to messaging from the digital strategists and platform guidance from platform leads.
  • Utilize Industry-Leading Tools
  • Use government-provided advanced desktop publishing, page layout, and graphics software including:
    • Adobe Premiere
    • Adobe Photoshop
    • Adobe Illustrator
    • Adobe InDesign
    • Adobe Acrobat Pro
  • Design and develop textual and media compositions to communicate complex information
  • Video and Multimedia Integration
    • Manipulate video and integrate graphic images, animations, sound, text and other video into consolidated and seamless video products
    • Produce multimedia content that enhances user understanding and makes information easier to consume
  • Collaboration and Standards Compliance
    • Ensure all designs comply with the Visual Guide (colors for charts/maps, classification markings placement, etc.)
    • Attend project planning and execution meetings to define requirements and prioritize graphic design work
    • Collaborate with customers to translate complex ideas into clear visual communication

Required Experience or Knowledge of the following technologies/functions:
  • Minimum of 3-8 years of relevant graphics/multimedia design experience, preferably in government or intelligence environments.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve issues efficiently.
