What You'll Do
  • Follow all Go West Camps guidelines and emergency procedures, American Camp Association standards, State Social Services standards, and County Health Department standards
  • Provide consistent support and assistance to a variety of camper groups throughout each session
  • Assist, support and facilitate daily activities that support social, emotional, and physical growth
  • Build strong relationships with campers and families
  • Help facilitate lunch and snack times, supervising children during meals and transitions
  • Support Check-In and Check-Out each day, welcoming and assisting families
  • Ensure proper use, organization, storage, and care of materials and equipment
  • Share in assigned cleaning responsibilities, keeping program and storage areas neat and organized
  • Maintain open, friendly, professional relationships with staff, parents, and participants
  • Attend all trainings, meetings, and in-services
  • Assist with other projects around camp; being flexible to an open schedule

Fine Print
  • Seasonal Position: Full-time (38-40 hrs/week) during summer, typically scheduled between 7:00am and 6:00pm, Monday-Friday
  • Location: Colorado Springs
  • Compensation: Starting rates: $15.25/hr, may increase depending on role.
  • Qualifications:
    • Age: 18+
    • Experience working with children (required) and supervising staff (preferred)
    • CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certificationsValid driver's license (eligible to drive camp vehicles after training)
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to move actively throughout camp, supervise children outdoors, and maintain awareness in a dynamic environment.
  • Go West Camps is a drug-, alcohol-, and tobacco-free facility. Participation in occasional overnights and weekend programs may be required.
