Job description

Material Handler/Forklift Driver

Norcross, GA

Compensation Includes

  • Starting Pay Rate of $19.15/hour + $1/hr shift differential

Available Shift

  • 3rd

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and friendly work environment
  • Accurately control inventory of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods, including requisitioning, receipt, storage, handling, scanning, and shipping
  • Accurately account for all material movements, including in-plant product holds
  • Perform incoming trailer inspections as assigned
  • Read and understand written specifications, procedures, safety information, and packaging diagrams
  • Accurately control inventory throughout the entire process
  • Other duties as necessary

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Forklift certification
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Must understand Warehouse Management Systems and processes

Must be able to:

  • Work 8-hour shifts, standing and walking for extended periods
  • Climb approved ladders and movable steps
  • Communicate effectively in verbal and written form
  • Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 50 lbs, with occasional lifts up to 65 lbs (two-person or mechanical assist required above 65 lbs)
  • Possess adequate problem-solving ability and determine cause-and-effect relationships in office or manufacturing environments
