Job Description Summary
Position: Production Worker / Caulk Line Packer
Location: Beavercreek, OH
Pay Rate: $21.00 ($0.75 shift differential for 2nd & 3rd)
Shift: 2nd (3pm-11pm) & 3rd (11pm-7am)

While reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for packing fiber caulk tubes in boxes in a quick and safe manner.
This position is in our Fiber Caulk Tube plant outside of Dayton, OH. We are producing Fiber Caulk Tubes to a global market that serves the construction industry. We are the world's largest producer of this package.
What you'll be doing:
  • Collaborating closely with other departments and teams
  • Having the ability to think on your feet and troubleshoot problems and situations.
  • Making incremental process adjustments, monitor and report quality of manufactured product.
  • Consistently loading caulk tubes in a box
  • Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills to clear jams and help with operational improvements.
  • Maintaining a safe, clean and organized work area.
  • Performing all duties as designated by supervisor/manager.
  • Performing all duties in support of Sonoco's quality and safety policies.
  • Helping out other departments as needed
  • Working for small amounts of time on elevated platforms.
