Job Title: General Production Packer
Job Description
This role focuses on safely and accurately packing finished products at the end of production lines. You will be the final person to handle the product before it ships to customers, ensuring it meets quality standards, is correctly measured when required, and is properly packaged and documented in the system.
Responsibilities
- Work at the end of a production line as the final point of contact for finished products before shipment.
- Remove products from the end of the line and prepare them for packing.
- Perform visual quality inspections to ensure products meet established standards.
- Measure product length, width, and other dimensions for specific items as required.
- Enter simple and accurate data into the computer system to record production and packing details.
- Pack products into boxes in an organized and secure manner for shipping.
- Maintain a steady work pace in a fast-paced production environment.
- Take initiative to assist with other tasks or support team members when production slows.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines while handling products and equipment.
- Support overall production flow by communicating issues or defects to the appropriate personnel.
Essential Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
- Ability to take initiative and stay productive during slower production periods.
- Ability to read and write in English to follow instructions and complete basic documentation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted on a regular basis.
- Demonstrated experience holding a full-time job and maintaining a consistent work schedule.
- Basic comfort with simple computer data entry tasks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in production, general labor, packing, packaging, or order packing is beneficial.
- Familiarity with quality inspection processes in a manufacturing or production setting is helpful.
- Comfort working on or around multiple production lines in a high-volume environment.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sterling, MA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $16.20 - $22.00/hr.
