Job description


Monday 7am - 5pm
Tuesday - Friday 8-5pm

MUST BE RELIABLE with current work history. 90 PROBATIONARY PERIOD, CLEAN Drug Screening and Background Check REQUIRED!  
Meals America is seeking a Packer/Packager for our team! As a Packer, you will be preparing and packing frozen meals and securely packaging them in a way that will adequately protect them while shipping. You will also be maintaining a clean, safe working environment, working closely with other packagers to keep a good flow of work, and constantly inspecting items to be packed for order accuracy. The ideal candidate enjoys steady, sometimes repetitive work, has excellent attention to detail, and is comfortable working on their feet for much of the day.  Monday-Thursday work week. 

Responsibilities 
  • Gather food items for each order.
  • Assemble packaging material appropriate for the items, including assembling appropriate boxes, applying shipping labels, and securing with tape.
  • Perform quality control checks to verify items are undamaged and meet quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Assist with inventory management as needed
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Attention to detail
  • The ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • The ability to work on your feet while bending, twisting, and lifting heavy objects
  • Strong communication skills
  • Detail Oriented
  •  Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred 
  •  Familiarity with warehouse management systems and RF scanners is a plus  
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment such as pallet jacks  
  •  Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor issues 
  •  Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in packing orders  
  •  Ability to handle physical demands of the job including lifting and moving packages 
  •  Excellent organizational skills to manage packaging schedules efficiently
