WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Operating equipment to move, load, and unload products within the warehouse. Equipment use includes powered equipment, carts, pallet jacks and/or manual handling methods.
  • Receiving and unpacking goods from incoming trucks and routing materials to appropriate locations within the DC.
  • Supports the Distribution Centre's goal of shipping 100% of customer orders daily with 99.94% accuracy through efficient receiving, picking, packing, checking, and shipping.
  • Performs all aspects of inbound and outbound processing, including scheduling deliveries, processing paperwork, and handling customer and supplier inquiries.
  • Meeting safety standards when operating equipment.
  • Accurately processes daily customer orders-printing documentation, picking, packing, checking (auditing), and shipping within established deadlines.
  • Conducts receiving duties such as scanning paperwork, identifying damaged or discrepant freight, completing reports, and ensuring documentation is filed per policy.
  • Executes material handling activities including put-away, replenishment, stock checks, rotation, and ensuring locations are "picker ready."
  • Uses RF scanners and both manual and powered warehouse equipment (training and certification provided) to complete warehouse tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Maintains accurate records and submits all required reports and productivity logs within prescribed timeframes.
  • Provides responsive and professional communication via phone and email to internal and external customers, escalating issues to the Lead Hand or DC Manager as needed.
  • Ensures safety, security, and ISO/corporate policies are consistently followed throughout daily operations.
  • Participates in inventory control activities including daily cycle counts, sweeps, test counts, and month-end/year-end cutoffs.
  • Identifies and reports product, location, or process issues promptly to leadership and contributes to corrective action solutions.
  • Engages in cross-training across all DC Support functions to enhance skills, flexibility, and career development within the distribution environment.

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Related distribution centre or warehouse experience preferred.
  • Experience operating warehouse equipment (i.e.: Walkie, order Picker, Reach Truck, and Turret Truck)
  • Current equipment certifications for the above equipment (or willingness to be trained and certified).
  • Ability to operate equipment safely.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to perform basic mathematical processes.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and ability to manipulate small objects.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Problem-solving ability and troubleshooting skills when verifying documentation against products.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and positively within a team environment.
  • Ability to learn in-house software applications and warehouse systems.

Compensation:The hourly starting rate for this role is: $19.25. Many factors go into determining pay within the posted range including education, prior experience, training, skills, certifications, location/labour market, internal equity, etc.
