Job Summary:

A Mover will work both in the office building and in the job sites. The main focus of the position will focus in moving-related activities, but will also help out in other areas of Contents from time-to-time. The ideal candidate will assist in the packing, moving, and storage of furniture and personal belongings for clients whose properties have been affected by fire, flood, or other disasters. Part of the job responsibility is to be able to maintain housekeeping and performing utilizing cleaning techniques that will be trained on the job when required. This position can be physically demanding, which includes walking up and downstairs, lifting up to 60 pounds, bending, twisting, squatting and pushing equipment are daily occurrences.

Responsibilities:
  • Completing move in and move outs
  • Conducting general everyday cleaning
  • Cleaning all types of floors by sweeping, mopping and vacuuming
  • Ensuring recycling and garbage bins are being emptied
  • Servicing, cleaning and restocking all washroom facilities
  • Conducting occasional interior window cleaning
  • Maintaining cleanliness of both office facilities and job sites
  • Measuring and administering cleaning agents
  • Working in other contents areas as pack-out, processing, and pack-back clientsโ€™ contents
  • Learning and performing proper contents packing procedures
  • Completing your timecard daily on ADP
  • Working with our Project Management software, Restorify
  • Completing job notes daily when needed
  • Completing and handing in the necessary paperwork related to a job

Compensation

Salary: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour (based on experience)

Requirements:
  • Previous work experience in the restoration industry is considered an asset
  • Must have at least one year of customer service experience
  • Previous work experience in a cleaning or moving specific role is considered an asset
  • Ability to work well alone as well as in a team environment
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check to our approval
  • A valid BC driversโ€™ license is a requirement (with a clean drivers abstract.)
