Jr. Sales Support Associate

Department: Logistics

Reports To: Director of Global Logistics

Location: Bala Cynwyd

Classification: Hourly – Non-Exempt Full-Time |

Position Summary

The Shipping & Receiving Associate is responsible for accurately processing incoming and outgoing shipments, including verifying item quality and count, maintaining detailed receipt logs, and ensuring outgoing packages match their corresponding packing slips. This role also supports outbound quality control for watches — including QC paperwork, presentation, and cross-referencing shipments against intranet listings — while helping maintain an organized, well-stocked shipping area. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable to new systems and tools, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Strong product knowledge across The 1916 Company's watch and jewelry brands will be developed on the job.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Receives goods and verifies the quality and count of all items in incoming parcels.
  • Records all items and necessary details on receipt log and report any discrepancies immediately to supervisor.
  • Confirming the details of outgoing shipments match the corresponding packing slips.  Carefully packing these outgoing items prior to handing off to carrier.
  • Help maintain organization and cleanliness of all shipping areas.
  • Restocking of shipping supplies and notifying supervisor of any low stock supplies.
  • Assisting in the outbound inspection of watches, including QC paperwork and watch presentation for watches shipping directly to clients when needed
  • Responsible for pulling box and paperwork and cross-referencing with our intranet to ensure everything pictured in the listing is included  
  • Learn and retain brand product knowledge for all watch and jewelry brands The 1916 Company offers.

  • Strong written, verbal, and quantitative/analytical skills.  
  • Demonstrates adaptability and a fast learning curve when introduced to new software, tools, or processes.   
  • Quickly becomes proficient in internal platforms such as CRM systems, order management tools, or reporting dashboards, enabling seamless integration into existing workflows.   
  • Proactive, energetic attitude and desire to work in a results-oriented and deadline-driven environment. Desire and ability to manage multiple relationships at a time. Team player.  
  • Detail oriented is a must! You have a sharp eye and are meticulous about the small details  
  • Strong organizational skills—You are able to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of tight timelines. You have strong time management skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to access a variety of storage spaces and shelving units by stretching, squatting, and reaching.
