Job description

Are you ready to bring your shipping/warehouseskills to a team that values precision and innovation? At Martin Sprocket & Gear, we're dedicated to producing quality mechanical power transmission components, material handling systems, and custom forgings with excellence, and we're looking for skilled Shipping/Warehouse Associates like you!
What You'll Do:
  • Product selection: Accurately locate and select products from warehouse shelves or floor locations, following labeling or stamping guidelines.
  • Order verification: Verify picked and packed items against order requirements to ensure accuracy.
  • Packing for shipment: Pick, pack, and prepare various machined products for shipment, including boxing, labeling, and securing items.
  • Equipment operation: Operate powered narrow-aisle pickers safely and efficiently to retrieve products from different shelf heights. Operate forklift to move pallets on and off trucks.
  • Safe handling: Wear all required PPE for the duration of the shift, practice safe lifting techniques, and seek assistance for items over 50 lbs.
  • Cleanliness and safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and operate equipment following safety protocols.
  • Cross-departmental support: Collaborate with other departments or assist in different areas as needed to support overall operations.

What You'll Bring:
  • Basic skills: Proficiency in basic math and clear communication; able to read and understand instructions in English and complete simple logs and reports.
  • Physical capability: Able to lift, push, pull, and position items up to 50 lbs (with assistance provided for heavier loads).
  • Dependability: Reliable attendance and commitment to scheduled hours, adhering to timekeeping and other company procedures.
  • Shift endurance: Comfortable standing and working in a non-climate-controlled environmentfor the entire shift.
  • Warehouse familiarity: Basic understanding of warehouse functions and general mechanical knowledge (preferred but not required).
  • Team-oriented: Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues.
  • Detail focus: Attentive to detail, capable of determining correct shelf locations based on routing tickets.

Your Schedule:
  • 1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
