GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

The warehouse worker position renders maximum customer service by supplying materials for shipment in a prompt, efficient, and accurate manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Unloads trucks and trailers containing merchandise from manufacturers and loads materials to be shipped to customers from load schedules provided by transportation personnel.ย ย 
  • Verifies accuracy of freight received into the warehouse against the purchase order. Completes material shortage forms when packing lists from manufacturers do not match materials received.ย ย 
  • Inspects the material received to ensure that there is no transportation damage.ย ย 
  • Stocks storage shelves, bins, and designated yard and warehouse areas with materials received.ย ย 
  • Assembles orders to be shipped to customers with the use of picking lists.ย ย 
  • Assembles orders to be transferred to VMI Locations, job sites or to be picked up by VMI line crews.ย ย 
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment and follows all safety regulations.ย ย 
  • Assist in annual inventories and interim counts as needed; may be required to construct and install meter loops at Vendor Managed Warehouses.ย ย 
  • The ability to handle necessary stress and work well with others are essential functions of this position.ย ย 
  • Due to our obligation to provide continuous, reliable electric service to our customers, the ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance and the ability to work outside your regularly scheduled office hours when necessary is an essential function of the job.ย ย 
  • Performs any other related duties as required or assigned.ย ย 
  • Maintain awareness of and compliance with applicable laws and regulations from various regulatory entities, internal policies, procedures, and directives. Ensure ongoing monitoring and timely incorporation of any changes to maintain adherence to compliance standards.ย ย 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.ย ย 

REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Valid Driver's License with safe driving record, post-offer fit for duty physical, pre-employment drug test, and must be able to pass DOT physical.ย ย
