Job description

Receiver The Receiver is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and accurately processing incoming materials, supplies, and products to ensure inventory accuracy and efficient warehouse operations. This position verifies shipments against purchase orders and packing slips, identifies discrepancies or damages, and ensures materials are properly labeled, stored, and entered into the inventory system. The Receiver works closely with Purchasing, Production, Quality, and Shipping departments to maintain an organized and efficient flow of materials.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Receive incoming shipments from carriers and verify quantities and items against purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documents.Inspect incoming materials for visible damage, defects, or discrepancies and report issues to Purchasing or Quality as appropriate.Accurately enter receipt information into the company's inventory management system.Label, tag, and store materials in designated warehouse locations following established procedures.Maintain accurate inventory records and support inventory control initiatives.Coordinate with the Purchasing department regarding shortages, overages, damaged goods, or incorrect shipments.Safely unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory as assigned.Prepare documentation for returned materials or vendor claims when necessary.Support warehouse operations by assisting with shipping, material handling, and other warehouse duties as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required.Previous warehouse, receiving, inventory, or logistics experience preferred.Experience using inventory management or ERP systems is preferred.Forklift certification is preferred.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Basic computer skills, including experience with inventory software and Microsoft Office.Ability to read and interpret purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documentation.Ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues in a timely manner. Physical Requirements Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.Stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and climb throughout the workday.Work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and exposure to noise.
