Field Assistant - Siding

Overview

Job Shift: Day Category: Construction

Description

Job Summary: Assists supervisor by coordinating activities associated with roofing, siding, and/or maintenance installation projects and/or maintenance of existing building/clients' grounds.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists in planning, scheduling, and tracking production of roofing/siding installation.
  • Runs errands and assists supervisors in supply pick-up and drop-off.
  • Assists Warehouse with packing and loading crew material pick-ups.
  • Assists with pre/post and safety inspections and documentation, including taking pictures of completed work to ensure quality craftsmanship.
  • Collaborate with the Field Supervisor to learn and develop skills in construction management.
  • May operate equipment such as forklifts or company trucks.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Self-starter with ability to quickly learn construction processes and techniques
  • Ability to work in both field and office settings
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office technology (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Clean driving record, with no accidents or major infractions within last 3 years.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • One year of construction experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of roofing or siding preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50-85 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to climb ladder and traverse roof at times.
  • Must be able to access and navigate all areas of construction site in various types of weather.
