Our client is a well-established Canadian retailer specializing in the sale of power tools, hand tools, fasteners and safety gear with a focus on supporting the construction industry. 
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Location: On-site in St Catharines Head Office

Compensation: $20 - $25/hour + health benefits
Position Summary:
The Shipper / Receiver & Inventory Control Associate is responsible for the accurate receiving, storage, organization, and shipment of products while maintaining inventory accuracy throughout the warehouse and showroom. This role supports daily operations by ensuring products are properly stocked, displayed, documented, and available for customers and staff.
Your day-to-day will include:
Shipping & Receiving
  • Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities and condition against packing slips and purchase orders.
  • Unload, inspect, and accurately process incoming inventory.
  • Prepare, package, and ship customer orders and branch transfers.
  • Coordinate with carriers and freight companies for pickups and deliveries.
  • Report damaged, missing, or incorrect shipments to management.

Documentation & Administration
  • Process receiving paperwork, shipping documents, packing slips, and inventory records.
  • File and maintain shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation.
  • Assist with reporting and inventory tracking activities.

Warehouse & Safety
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and showroom environment.
  • Operate material handling equipment such as pallet trucks and forklift safely and efficiently.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and policies.
  • Assist with general warehouse duties as required.

Affiliated Tasks – your role will also assist with supporting the following functions:
Stocking & Merchandising
  • Assist with stocking shelves, showroom displays, and warehouse locations.
  • Assist with replenishing showroom inventory and maintain clean, organized product displays.
  • Support organizing and maintaining overstock inventory areas.
  • Assist in ensuring products are properly rotated and displayed according to company standards.

Inventory Control
  • Assist with maintaining accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Assist in monitoring stock levels and notify management of visible shortages or overstock situations.
  • Assist in ensuring products are correctly labelled, stored, and easily accessible.
  • Assist with inventory transfers between locations as required.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory control experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with inventory or ERP systems.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Forklift experience
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.

Working Conditions:
  • Combination of warehouse and showroom environment.
  • Frequent lifting, bending, standing, and moving products.
