Your Role at KIK

The Packer is responsible for safely packaging, labeling, inspecting, and preparing pool chemical products for shipment while maintaining compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards. This position operates in a chemical manufacturing environment and requires adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), hazardous material handling procedures, and company safety policies.

What You'll Do

  • Package pool chemical products into containers, pails, buckets, bags, cartons, and other approved packaging materials
  • Inspect products and packaging components for quality, accuracy, and defects before and during packaging operations
  • Apply labels, lot codes, date codes, and regulatory markings according to product specifications
  • Verify correct product, packaging materials, and quantities are used for each production run
  • Operate packaging equipment, conveyors, palletizers, shrink-wrap machines, labelers, and related equipment as trained
  • Monitor packaging lines for proper operation and report equipment malfunctions to supervisors or maintenance personnel
  • Stack, wrap, and prepare finished goods for warehouse storage or shipment
  • Complete production, quality, and inventory documentation accurately and in a timely manner
  • Perform line clearances and housekeeping activities to maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow all safety procedures regarding hazardous chemicals, personal protective equipment (PPE), lockout/tagout, and emergency response
  • Participate in inventory counts and material reconciliation activities as assigned.
  • Assist with changeovers, setup, and cleaning of packaging equipment
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency
  • Performs other duties and assignments as directed by supervisor
  • Assist other Dry B Operators as needed

What You'll Bring

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • The ability to work rotating shifts
  • Ability to safely wear respiratory protective equipment for extended periods while performing assigned job duties.
  • Manufacturing, packaging, warehouse, or production experience preferred
  • Chemical manufacturing experience is a plus
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations and complete production records
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions, established procedures, work rules, and company standards.ย 
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to work safely around chemicals and manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including a physical examination, functional capacity assessment, and drug screening.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during scheduled shifts
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds frequently
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, climb stairs, and perform repetitive motions
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures, humidity levels, and manufacturing environments
  • Ability to wear required PPE for extended periods
