Job description

About the Role:

Nutella Biscuits is an exciting, well-established Ferrero brand, and we are expanding our production operations. These operations will employ more than 50 permanent employees, making this a significant and exciting growth opportunity. As part of the first waves of Production Operators, you will have a unique opportunity to be on the ground floor of this venture. You will play a key role in the successful start-up and ongoing production of our new and second line of Nutella Biscuits globally.

We are currently hiring Production Operators for our Packaging area, who will be responsible of setting up equipment, inspecting food seal integrity and label accuracy, clearing minor jams, performing sanitation and machine changeovers, and recording production data while strictly following food safety regulations.

Shift Flexibility
Production will ramp up over several months and is expected to transition to a rotating continental 12-hour shift schedule around January 2027.

During the initial phase, shifts will follow a rotating 8-hour morning and afternoon schedule, with a night shift to be introduced at a later stage. 

Candidates must be flexible and available to work a variety of shifts, as schedules are subject to change and will evolve with operational needs.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Operate and monitor production equipment across packaging process in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions
  • Adjust and control process parameters (e.g., temperature, speeds, seal pressures) to ensure consistent packaging quality
  • Perform in-process checks and maintain strict visual quality standards throughout all stages of production
  • Maximize equipment efficiency by minimizing downtime, identifying issues, and collaborating with maintenance teams for timely resolution
  • Support line changeovers, cleaning, and sanitation activities as required
  • Minimize waste and contribute to yield optimization initiatives
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and organization within the production environment
  • Ensure all products meet Ferrero quality and food safety standards (GMPs, HACCP, ISO)
  • Follow all health and safety procedures, including proper lockout/tagout practices
  • Actively participate in Ferrero Operational Excellence (FOX), My Idea Counts (MICO), and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure full traceability of materials and processes
  • Demonstrate environmental awareness and comply with sustainability and environmental policies
About You:
  • Must have experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically in packaging processes
  • Experience operating highly automated production machinery or advanced manufacturing technology is an asset
  • Experience in biscuit, baking, or chocolate production is considered a strong asset
  • Strong comfort with technology, including operating automated equipment, monitoring systems, and adjusting process parameters
  • Strong understanding of food safety and quality standards in a production setting (ISO, HACCP, GMPs)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to follow standardized processes and procedures consistently
  • Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts and adapt to changing schedules
  • Willingness to learn and actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
