General Laborer

Location: Ashland, VA
Pay Rate: $18.00–$20.00 per hour, based on experience and position
Schedule: 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift

Job Description

We are looking for dependable General Laborers to join a busy warehouse and production environment in Ashland, VA. This position involves a variety of hands-on work depending on the area where you are assigned. Duties may include loading and unloading, moving materials, packaging, sorting, production work, cleaning, and assisting with daily warehouse operations.

Some positions may be more physically demanding than others, so candidates should be comfortable being on their feet and performing hands-on work throughout the shift. Previous warehouse, manufacturing, production, or general labor experience is helpful, but training may be available depending on the assignment.

Responsibilities

Depending on the area and assignment, duties may include:

  • Perform general labor and warehouse duties as assigned.
  • Load and unload trucks, trailers, pallets, and materials.
  • Move, stage, and organize products and materials.
  • Assist with production, assembly, packaging, and sorting.
  • Pick, pack, label, and prepare products for shipment.
  • Inspect products for damage, defects, or quality issues.
  • Use basic hand tools and equipment when required.
  • Assist with shipping, receiving, and inventory tasks.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of debris.
  • Follow work instructions and complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Work with supervisors and coworkers to keep daily operations moving.
  • Follow all company safety rules and procedures.
  • Perform other general labor and material handling duties as needed.

Schedule

Schedules may be available on:

  • 1st shift
  • 2nd shift
  • 3rd shift

Specific start and end times will depend on the assignment. Candidates should be comfortable working the shift associated with the position.

Qualifications

  • Previous general labor, warehouse, manufacturing, production, or material handling experience is preferred.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Pay & Opportunities

Pay ranges from $18.00–$20.00 per hour, based on experience and the specific position.
