Job description

Flightline Operations Manager

Company:

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking Flightline Operations Managers (Level K) to support the 737 Field Operations team in Renton, WA. This position is available for Shift 1 or 2, the Shift will be determined at the time of offer.

This position will require the candidate to use their business, leadership and people skills to inspire a safe work environment and exceptional performance to develop and execute business plans, policies and procedures. Successful candidates must be able to develop and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, cross-functional support and direct reports.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that air vehicles are completed and pass certification for airworthiness by overseeing final component installation, systems operation functional testing, modification, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, preflight and postflight checks, release for flight, and preparation for delivery

  • Interfaces with flight crews, engineering, management, suppliers, and customers to meet product requirements and ensure customer acceptance

  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals

  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes

  • Manages, develops and motivates employees

Boeing First-Line Leader Assessment:To be considered for this position you will be required tocomplete an assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete the assessment willremove you from consideration

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience in an Aerospace, Fabrication or Manufacturing environment

  • 3+ years of experience working in a cross functional environment

  • Possess an FAA Airframe and Power Plant License OR the aircraft years and experience necessary to obtain an FAA Repairman's certificate

  • Ability to work variable shifts including days, evenings, overnights, and weekends as needed

  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader,tempmanager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership."

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience);

  • 3+ years of flightline operations experience

  • 3+ years of experience working with live customers

  • 3+ years of experience with any of the following: quality assurance, troubleshooting capabilities, functional test knowledge, release, ticket experience, manufacturing, and/or structures

  • 3+ years of proficiency using CMES
