Packaging Line Worker Jobs (NOW HIRING)

The Packaging Line Worker operates automated and semi-automated equipment to fill, label, and package a variety of products, ensuring accuracy, cleanliness, and adherence to standard operating procedures. This role involves working on a production line to prepare syringes, containers, and bags for shipment, while maintaining organized work areas and supporting overall manufacturing efficiency.

• Accurately fill material products into syringes of various sizes according to established procedures.
• Carefully insert pistons into syringes while avoiding trapped air and ensuring product quality.
• Operate automated and semi-automated machinery that fills and labels packaging.
• Print labels with correct product and batch information and apply them neatly to packaging.
• Accurately count parts and seal them in bags in accordance with production requirements.
• Maintain local inventory of parts used in the department and notify appropriate personnel of low stock.
• Pack finished items into boxes and deliver them to the shipping department in a timely manner.
• Fill powder and liquid products into containers and securely apply caps.
• Read, comprehend, and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and the employee manual.
• Take direction from lead personnel and follow instructions to meet production goals.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of debris throughout the shift.
• Perform weekly area cleaning, including washing work surfaces and occasionally mopping floors.

• At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to accurately fill, pack, and assemble products on a production or assembly line.
• Experience with packaging, picking, loading, shipping, and filling orders in a production setting.
• Capability to operate basic machinery and equipment used in packaging and labeling.
• Strong attention to detail for counting parts, applying labels, and following SOPs.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Basic inventory awareness to track parts used in the department.
• Reliability and consistency in general labor and general production tasks.

• Experience with machine operation in a manufacturing or packaging environment.
• Background in assembly, assembly line work, or packager roles.
• Familiarity with labeling processes and equipment.
• Comfort working in a shipping or production environment with repetitive tasks.
• Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas.

This role is based in a manufacturing and production facility, working on or near an assembly and packaging line. You will regularly handle syringes, containers, and packaging materials, and operate automated and semi-automated machinery for filling and labeling. The environment involves standing for extended periods, performing repetitive tasks such as packing, loading, and labeling, and moving boxes to the shipping area. Work areas are kept clean and organized, with weekly cleaning that includes washing surfaces and occasionally mopping floors. The setting is fast-paced but structured, with standard operating procedures guiding daily tasks and a focus on maintaining accurate inventory and orderly workstations.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brentwood, NY.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
