Job description

Apply 1-year contract with potential for extension or conversion Location: Dallas, TX (hybrid - 3 days/week in office) Pay Rate: $38.00/hourly Hours/Wk: 40 per week Dates: 07/22/2026 - 07/21/2027 Summary Our client is seeking a Contract Project Engineer to support packaging development and commercialization initiatives. This role combines project management and technical engineering responsibilities, working cross-functionally to bring packaging solutions from concept through market launch. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing timelines, technical deliverables, and hands-on testing activities while collaborating with global teams

Key initiatives are: Project Management Technical and Engineering Support Testing Validation Commercialization and Launch Responsibilities include: Create and manage project timelines, milestones, and deliverables across multiple programs Request and track development and costs Coordinate cross-functional teams including Engineering, Marketing, and external partners Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation and records Review technical drawings and dyelines to ensure design intent and feasibility Support packaging development through specifications, documentation, and technical input Assist with material selection and component compatibility evaluation Coordinate and perform packaging testing to ensure performance and quality standards are met Track test progress and document results for internal teams Support troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues Partner with Marketing and cross-functional teams to prepare products for market launch Ensure all technical deliverables and approvals are completed on time to support launch timelines Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field 2-5 years of relevant experience in engineering, packaging, or project coordination Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously Technical Skills: Experience in project management Understanding of beauty packaging and engineering fundamentals Ability to review technical drawings and specifications Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Preferred Skills: Experience in packaging, consumer products, or related industries Experience with Salesforce or another CRM program Experience working with global teams Mandarin language skills Core Competencies: Project management and coordination across multiple workstreams Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration Attention to detail and technical accuracy Problem-solving, independence, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment Work Environment and Expectations Dallas-based or willing to relocate Hybrid schedule: minimum 3 days per week in office Hands-on role including both project coordination and laboratory/testing activities Potential travel to suppliers as needed Engagement Terms W2 only.
