DESCRIPTION

We are seeking someone who approaches problem-solving with passion, creativity, and curiosity. Apple's approach to packaging is unique, so we value people who are eager to learn new skills and further improve their knowledge of packaging design, manufacturing processes, and sustainable materials. We welcome fresh influences from outside the standard packaging industry to promote innovation in creative ways.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3 years of relevant industry experience
  • BS in Materials Science & Engineering, Polymer Science, Fiber Science, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Strong knowledge of material science fundamentals
  • Strong analytical/creative problem-solving skills; ability to use statistical tools and techniques
  • Effective verbal and written presentation skills, able to present technical details succinctly
  • Ability to travel internationally, up to 20%
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience working with contract manufacturers and vendors from concept to manufacturing in mass-production
  • Experience developing materials with a wide range of performance requirements
  • Working knowledge of analytical techniques to characterize materials
  • Experience with paper, fiber, inks, coatings, or bio-based materials
