Job description

Position Overview:
As a Packaging Associate at Krosswood Doors, you will be responsible for packaging finished door units, verifying order accuracy, and preparing products for shipment. This role requires a hard-working, reliable, and punctual individual looking to build a long-term career in manufacturing and logistics. You will be expected to work with speed, accuracy, and consistency as well as maintain a team-player mentality and commitment to safety, quality, and product protection.
All candidates are subject to a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Package finished door units including slabs, pre-hung doors, and assembled systems:
    • Apply protective materials (foam, cardboard, wrap, straps, corner protectors).
    • Ensure packaging meets standards for damage prevention.
  • Verify orders prior to packaging and shipment:
    • Confirm correct product, quantity, and configuration.
    • Match work orders to physical product.
  • Maintain quality standards:
    • Inspect doors for visible damage or defects.
  • Support production throughput (TPUT):
    • Meet daily and hourly targets.
  • Prepare products for shipping and staging:
    • Label, stack, and stage materials properly.
  • Maintain safe and organized workspace:
    • Follow PPE and 6S standards.
  • Work cooperatively with team members:
    • Communicate issues immediately.

Requirements:
  • Use packaging tools: tape machines, banding material.
  • Read and understand work orders and shipping documentation.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Inspect finished products for accuracy.
  • Commitment to safety standards.
  • Work well with team members.
  • Maintain equipment properly.
  • Keep work area clean and organized.
