Job description

As the Associate Packaging Designer, you will support our packaging design team in creating cost-effective, attractive, and highly functional packaging for our most sought-after collectible brands! You will assist in the conceptualization, design, and execution of prototypes, using your keen eye for shape, color, graphics, and typography to create attention-grabbing materials that resonate with our target markets. What You Will Do:
  • Assist in the conceptualization and development of innovative packaging design systems encompassing both graphics and physical structure
  • Prepare compelling sketches, detailed drawings, artwork, and final mock-up designs utilizing Adobe Creative Suite and computer modeling software
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with graphic designers, copywriters, and other departments to finalize packaging text, graphics, and brand representation
  • Brainstorm packaging ideas using hand sketches, verbal cues, and design software to develop strategies across multiple toy lines
  • Create, modify, and manage precise packaging die-line templates while ensuring designs accurately represent the company's brand identity
  • Prepare accurate and high-quality submissions for critical licensor approvals

What We Are Looking For:
  • 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience in package design
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) alongside standard Microsoft Office and G-Suite tools
  • Solid working knowledge of printing processes (4-color, spot colors, mechanical preparation, paper stock) and print expectations (bleeds, die-lines, retouching, resolution)
  • Foundational knowledge of packaging materials, multiple manufacturing processes, and working within strict licensed brand guidelines
  • Exceptional visual, verbal, and written communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach and the ability to build productive professional relationships
  • A proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable mindset with an eye for innovation, a well-developed sense of aesthetics, and excellent attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving and basic project management skills with the ability to navigate shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Art, Industrial Design, or a highly related field is a plus
  • Prior experience or strong interest in the toy, baby, costume, or pets industry
