Job Title: Warehouse Receiving Associate
Department: Warehouse
Location: Corwith IA
Reports To: Warehouse Manager
Job Type: Full-time
Job Summary
The Warehouse Receiving Associate is primarily responsible for efficiently receiving packages for customer orders by using a scanner and reconciling purchase orders electronically and uploading/filing actual copies. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the timely and accurate fulfillment of orders, contributing to the overall success of our operations.
Essential Job Functions
• Scan items into inventory using scanner/tablet and properly notate and report discrepancies.
• Verify the correct line items and quantities are received on each inbound shipment.
• Confirm inbound shipments using packing slip information and sending reports to provide documentation of receiving.
• Respond to email/ call inquiries regarding status of received items.
• Learn product SKUs and become proficient with load/pick sheets and picking software.
• Utilize forklifts and ride-on pallet jacks to load/unload semi-trailers and move freight around the warehouse.
• Inventory management: performing physical counts for order accuracy.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the work environment.
• Actively participate in and promote a safety culture by following safe work practices and adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
• Report incidents, accidents and any unsafe conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
• 1-3 years of relevant experience
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations, inventory management systems and basic computer skills.
• Must pass a forklift driving test.
• Ability to read, understand, and speak simple sentences and follow directions and instructions.
• Basic math skills, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing with two-digit numbers, and working with money, weight, volume, and distance
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to work in various climate conditions including extreme heat and cold environments, walking, standing, and sitting for long periods of time.
• Must be able to work occasional overtime as required based on production demand
• Proficiency in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, scanner and WMS software
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of safety practices and procedures in a warehouse setting.
Preferred Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED
• Warehouse and forklift experience preferred.
• Forklift and pallet jack certifications preferred.
Work Environment
This role requires working in a warehouse setting, which may involve exposure to cold/hot environments based on the Ohio seasons. The position involves standing for long periods, bending, kneeling, squatting, carrying and climbing.
