Position Summary
 
Reporting to the Packaging Lead, the Packaging Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining machinery to ensure efficient production.
 
The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining machinery used in the production and packaging of material, ensuring efficient and safe operations.
 
Position Responsibilities
 
  • Set up, operate, and monitor machines according to production specifications and schedules. 
  • Controlling and adjusting machine settings, feeding raw materials, and monitoring the production process.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) practices, to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Identify and resolve machine malfunctions, performing minor repairs and adjustments as needed 
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines and report any major issues to supervisors 
  • Inspect products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.  
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and verify the functionality of safety features.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
 
Position Requirements
 
  • High school diploma or Equivalency.
  • One (1) year previous experience as a machine operator in a food processing or manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting machinery, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems.
  • Ability to maintain high standards of quality and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capability to stand for long periods and handle physical tasks associated with machine operation.
