Job description

Under the direction of the Operations Supervisor, asuccessful Packager prepares product for shipment both manually and via electric poweredindustrial equipment with lifting devices, such as motorized pallet jack and/or reach truck.Packagers prepare and packages customer product in a safe and efficient manner whilefollowing the instruction of the Line Lead and Quality Lead. Will follow corporate and site specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed. In addition,the candidate will observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.

The Packager's primary purpose is to perform production work such as packaging materials and verifying items for accuracy before packing. Success in this position is measured by maintaining and/or surpassing the standard OPH (orders per hour) by client and exceeding efficiency goals to satisfy client needs and demands.

Responsibilities:

  • Package order from the slot
  • Put the merchandise in the box
  • Send it to the line (ship)
  • Replenish products for PTL machine for the next shift
  • Organize, tidy-up and clean your work area and equipment
  • Report any errors or dysfunctions to the team leaders
  • Respect the best practices and training guides in force on the job
  • Cross train in other areas of the department
  • Other duties as assigned

Schedule: Friday-Sunday, 7am - 7pm

Compensation:$17.20 per hour plus $1.50 shift differential for hours worked
