Building Inspector

BRUDIS & ASSOCIATES, INC. (BAI) is a multidiscipline engineering firm providing consulting services to public and private sector clients in the Maryland, Virginia, and District of Columbia region. 

Job Summary:

Brudis & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Building Inspector to work full-time supporting construction activities located at BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport and Martin State Airport.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Perform inspections necessary during the installation of mechanical/plumbing systems to ensure that the systems are installed in accordance with the construction documents and permits
  • Document construction of improvements via digital Inspector Daily Reports including photographs, correction items, and deficiencies
  • Perform reviews of mechanical/plumbing construction drawings
  • Other duties as required by the client

Minimum Requirements:

  • Candidates shall possess a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of five (5) years of experience or a minimum of ten (10) years equivalent experience.
  • Candidates shall possess experience inspecting commercial architectural, structural, and interior finishes.
  • Construction trade experience related to commercial gypsum wall board assemblies, ceilings, insulation, roofing, and miscellaneous metals is a plus.
  • Must have the ability to work in a team environment and must have good oral, written communication, and computer skills.
  • Adherence to Maryland Aviation Administration COVID-related and Security/Safety protocols is required.
