Job description

Material Handler (Night Shift)

Accredo Packaging is seeking a qualified Material Handler (Night Shift). This position is in Sugar Land, TX and will report to the Warehouse Manager.

The Material Handler is responsible for processing materials requests in a safe and efficient manner to ensure that production has the materials needed to fulfill customer orders.

Hourly Rate: $17.00 an hour. $2.00 shift differential when work nights.

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Complies with established safety policies and procedures and other regulations as applicable.
  • Processes material requests/returns.
  • Scans movements.
  • Pulls/stores material by operating a narrow aisle truck (swing reach/turret stock picker).
  • Transports material by operating a forklift.
  • Conducts inventory.
  • Cleans and ensures the department is maintained in an orderly fashion.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate shall possess the following:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Basic computer skills. Experience with web-based software and ERP systems required.
  • Ability to read, write and speak in the English language to the extent necessary to effectively communicate and interpret instructions.
  • Minimum of 2 years of forklift experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Ability to frequently lift 50 lbs.
