In this role, you will execute design program management for several Healthcare projects with several disciplines simultaneously. Project responsibility spans from proposal phase through project closeout. You will lead and inspire the design team to collaborate to achieve all project goals.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Guides career development, monitors workload and conducts regular performance management discussions for assigned team members.
  • Ensures the compliance with all Prime Contract requirements.
  • Develops, monitors, and updates an efficiently sequenced project design schedule and regularly advises the project team of changes.
  • Assures design consultants are prequalified.
  • Prepares Professional Service Agreements for design consultants that minimize risk to the Company.
  • Evaluates and distributes changes/add services effecting project scope and schedule.
  • Prepares clear and concise project communications, oral and written.
  • Builds positive working relationships with current clients, internal and external, establishing a relationship of trust.
  • Understands the client's business needs to seek future work.
  • Displays a commitment to safe work practices both during design document development and in the field.
  • Facilitates and monitors design reviews of documents to ensure project quality objectives are achieved.
  • Utilizes standard project management tools and techniques that comply with all company policies from proposal through close-out.
  • Forecasts and reports project financial performance and reviews with design business unit leaders and project leaders (for integrated projects).
  • Solicits input from practice areas for development of fee proposal or change order requests/add services.
  • Travel up to 30%

Education & Years of Experience:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or architecture preferred and generally a minimum 10 years of progressive experience as a design manager.
To thrive in this role, you'll need:
  • Healthcare experience in a client facing position
  • Professional registration or eligible preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of various relevant architectural and engineering systems (e.g., facilities, process and/or packaging systems as applicable).
  • Must have knowledge of drawing production software and integration requirements for complete project modeling.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Ability to adjust to changing timelines, meet deadlines and excellent time management skills.

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, team members may be required to visit alternate locations and therefore, must have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to do so.
