Job description

Cardiology APP in Houston, TX with Willowbrook Cardiovascular Associates

We are in search of a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team and work alongside our Interventional Cardiologists.

At Willowbrook Cardiovascular Associates our guiding principle is to take exceptional care of our    patients by providing personalized attention to their cardiovascular health. Our physicians and staff are experienced in the most state-of-the-art and innovative technology, yet still understand the importance of human communication and compassion when caring for others.

We offer comprehensive services including:

  • Electrocardiography
  • Nuclear Imaging
  • Exercise and Non-Exercise Stress Tests
  • Carotid Imaging
  • Holter Monitoring
  • Pacemaker and ICD insertion
  • Angiogram and Angioplasty
  • Peripheral Arterial and Venous Studies

The full time APP will work under the general supervision of the primary supervising physician, and all physician partners to delivery competent medical care to an age specific population including adults and geriatric patients. The individual will work independently and collaborate with the entire Willowbrook physician team as well as assess, manage and treat complex cardiovascular conditions in high acuity units. Position to maintain the scope of practice to be consistent with the policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines governed by the Texas Board of Nursing, the Texas Medical Board, and any other federal or state regulatory agencies, as well as the policies and procedures of Willowbrook Cardiovascular Associates. Understands the needs of the organization and supports the mission, values, and management of Willowbrook and USHV.

Experience Requirements:

  • APP with Cardiology experience is required. This is not a position for a new graduate.
  • NP/PA Board Certification is required.
  • ACLS Certification
  • BLS Certification
  • TX license or willing to apply

Hours of Work and Location:

    • Monday- Friday 8am-5pm with some weekend call
    • Hybrid position which includes rounding at two hospitals and outpatient clinic
    • Position will be located at our Champions Office Location
