GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Analyzes and interrogates pacemakers, ICDs and implantable loop recorders across the cardiology practices. Supports the telemonitoring program by reviewing the data and maintaining software application.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrates extensive knowledge and understanding of pacer equipment. (20%)
  • Analyzes and re-programs all pacemakers with various programs. (20%)
  • Performs independent quarterly transtelephonic pacemaker checks. (15%)
  • Is responsible for all data through software application (15%)

  • Reprograms devices as ordered by the physician. (10%)

  • Maintains follow up appointments for pacemaker and ICD patients. (10%)

  • Conducts family and patient education on care of pacemaker/ICD's. (5%)

  • Performs EKGs as needed. (5%)

  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

  • Associates degree and one or more years related experience and training

  • 1 year experience as a Senior Monitor technician

Preferred

  • 1 year in electrophysiology field

Additional Employment Requirements:

  • BLS certification
