Gross Annual Base Salary: USD 175,000 -187,500

Summary

A Senior Solution Consultant for OneStream's Proof-of-Concept ("POC") Team operates within the pre-sales phase of the sales cycle, and will be deeply versed in Corporate Performance Management ("CPM") solutions, AI, and related technologies, leveraging this expertise to solve complex customer problems and deliver compelling solutions for prospects and customers. The role will lead the design and building of tailored OneStream solutions for specific business issues. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have experience working with and deploying solutions on leading AI platforms and related technologies to drive effectiveness across all aspects of the team's workflows - from solution delivery to day-to-day efficiency.

Please note, the ideal candidate is located within the US or Canada.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Designing and delivering POCs that address complex business requirements and highlight OneStream's strengths against competing platforms.
  • Utilizing AI solutions to accelerate OneStream's sales cycle and drive internal workflow efficiencies.
  • Serving as the functional and technical expert for OneStream's go-to-market team throughout the sales cycle.
  • Building strong relationships across key OneStream teams to support POC success and foster professional growth, including Demo Development, Field Sales, Sales Enablement, Product Management, and Product Engineering.
  • Translating POC findings and prospect feedback into actionable insights for Product Management and Engineering, directly shaping OneStream's product roadmap.
  • Continually enhancing and scaling technical assets to ensure high-quality and efficient POC projects.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology, Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience with AI solutionslike Claude Cowork, Code, or other public LLMs to develop systems for process improvements.
  • Familiarity with writing LLM skill files for workflow efficiency or output application tools/interfaces.
  • 3+ years of CPM industry experience in technical presales, consulting, or related roles.
  • 3+ years of experience designing, building, and deploying applications.
  • Experience and strong interest in UX/visualization design, data transformation, and developing desktop/SaaS applications. Examples include writing functions, macros, and scripts to minimize manual tasks.
  • A continuous growth mindset to learn OneStream, AI, and related data management technologies.
  • Knowledge of core CPM concepts like Consolidations, Planning, Reporting, Data Integration, and event-driven Visualizations.
  • Experience with consultative discussions to identify a prospect's business issues and craft the right solution.
  • Versed and experienced with data analytics or financial modeling.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Previous experience as a CPM Administrator, Services Consultant, or Pre-Sales Solution Consultant.
  • Web application development with modern JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React, or Vue), including integration with backend databases.
  • Familiarity or experience with the VB.net and C#.net programming languages, Visual Basic, SQL Server, XML, and VBA in Excel.
  • Exposure to Finance/Accounting projects or concepts.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Familiarity with OneStream or similar CPM platforms and related technologies.
  • Understands the applicability of AI in the CPM market and strives to learn modern technologies to solve business problems.
  • Solid knowledge of database management (including SQL scripts and functions), Excel functions, XML structures, and financial modeling.
  • Capable of leading technical discussions and simplifying advanced technology concepts for all stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented and goal-focused.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables in a demanding environment with tight deadlines.

Travel
