P Manager information

What is a p manager?

P Managers, often referred to as Product Managers or Project Managers depending on the context, are professionals responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of specific projects or products within an organization. Their role typically involves coordinating cross-functional teams, managing timelines and budgets, and ensuring that objectives are met efficiently. P Managers play a vital role in aligning business goals with project deliverables and often act as the main point of communication between stakeholders.

How does a project manager typically coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success?

Project Managers regularly collaborate with cross-functional teams by facilitating clear communication, setting expectations, and organizing regular check-ins or stand-up meetings. They often use project management tools to assign tasks, track progress, and address any obstacles promptly. Building strong relationships with team members from different departments is crucial, as it helps align goals and ensures that everyone is working towards the same objectives. This collaborative approach is essential for identifying potential risks early and keeping the project on schedule.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a project manager?

To thrive as a Project Manager, you need strong organizational skills, leadership abilities, and a solid understanding of project management methodologies, often supported by a bachelor's degree and certifications like PMP or PRINCE2. Familiarity with project management software such as Microsoft Project, Asana, or Jira is typically required for planning, tracking, and reporting. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills help Project Managers lead teams and navigate challenges effectively. These competencies are crucial for delivering projects on time, within scope, and on budget while ensuring team alignment and stakeholder satisfaction.

Job description

About Comfrt
Comfrt is more than just an apparel brand; we are a mental wellness movement. We specialize in creating high-quality, functional products-like our signature Weighted Zip Hoodie-designed to ease stress, calm anxiety, and provide the "feeling of a hug." Our community is built on authenticity, and our retail spaces are designed to be safe havens for our customers to unplug and find their comfort zone.
The Role
Comfrt is looking for a high-energy, strategically-minded Store Manager to lead our First Retail Store at Mall of America. As the Store Manager, you are the CEO of your four walls. You are responsible for the full lifecycle of the store-from talent acquisition and team culture to P&L ownership and operational excellence. You will translate our viral online energy into a high-performing physical retail experience.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & People Leadership

  • Full-Cycle Recruitment: The Store Managers owns the hiring process. You are responsible for sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding a diverse team that reflects the Comfrt brand voice.
  • Performance Management: Conduct regular performance reviews and provide consistent coaching to develop a pipeline of future leaders.
  • Culture of Comfrt: Foster a positive, inclusive environment where employees feel empowered to interact with customers as "friends" rather than sales associates.
  • Sales Floor Management: Maintain a constant presence to provide real-time coaching, drive immediate sales results, and ensure the brand "vibe" is upheld during every hour of operation.

Financial & P&L Ownership
  • P&L Management: Take full accountability for the store's Profit & Loss statement. Monitor controllable expenses, including labor, supplies, and shrink, to maximize bottom-line profitability.
  • KPI Accountability: Drive consistent results across all key performance indicators.
  • Business Strategy: Identify opportunities for growth by analyzing weekly and monthly business trends and executing strategic pivots to meet targets.

Inventory Accuracy & Operational Excellence
  • Inventory Integrity: Oversee all BOH operations to ensure 100% inventory accuracy. Lead regular cycle counts and full physical inventories.
  • Shrink Reduction: Implement and enforce strict loss prevention and stock handling procedures to minimize discrepancy and theft.
  • Product Life Cycle: Ensure all shipments (including weighted gear up to 40 lbs) are processed and floor-ready within 24 hours. Strategically lead daily replenishment by identifying bestsellers and adjusting floor placement to maximize visibility and sales.
  • Visual Standards: Maintain 100% execution of the brand's visual directives. Ensure all mannequins, folded stacks, and hanging displays represent the "premium unplugged" sanctuary aesthetic.

Social Media & In-Store Activations
  • Social Content: Lead the store in creating daily, high-energy content for TikTok/Reels to bridge the gap between our online community and our MOA physical space.
  • Event Execution: Manage in-store activations and product drops that create "hype" and drive consistent foot traffic.

Qualifications
  • 6+ years of retail management experience; 2+ years in high-volume operations.
  • Proven experience managing a full P&L and hitting aggressive KPI targets.
  • Direct experience in recruitment and talent development.
  • Comfortability with social media content creation and public brand representation.
  • Must be available for peak retail periods including Black Friday and the holiday season.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Base Salary Range - $70,000 - $80,000 DOE
  • Participation in the Comfrt Retail Bonus Program.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • 401(k) program with company match.
  • Generous employee discount on all Comfrt products.

Reasonable Accommodations & Diversity Statement
  • Religious Accommodations: Comfrt provides reasonable accommodations for religious beliefs, observances, and practices, including requests for time off, in accordance with applicable laws.
  • Physical Requirements: Essential physical requirements for this role are listed below. The company will provide reasonable accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions, provided it does not cause undue hardship to the business.
