Job description

Position Overview:
Established grades and provide layout for all construction activities, provide operator support as required.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
  • Be knowledgeable of the project plans
  • Accurately provide grades, lines and locations of features and plan representations
  • Interact with foreman and engineering staff to know the upcoming work and any clarifications to the work
  • Communicate issues to the foreman and office staff for timely resolution; provide solutions to the issues as necessary
  • Maintains company safety and quality standards

Other Duties:
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
  • Promotes awareness of and follows Company and safety policies.

Working Conditions:
Work is generally from 7am to 3:30pm, M-F. Work days and hours are dependent on job demands

  • As required

Mental and Physical Demands:
Physically able to traverse the project site and access all areas. Have acuity to learn the plans/specs and coordinate multiple activities simultaneously.

*This is a union position. Candidates for this position must already be a member of Operating Engineers Local Union No. 3.
