About this Role

This role sits in Operations IT, the team that bridges the operating companies and Enterprise IT to accelerate value. When IT services work the way they should, an operating company asks for what it needs and it simply happens — they never have to navigate the machinery behind it. Building that invisible, dependable layer, and making it scale to 60+ autonomous businesses without slowing any of them down, is the mission and this role is a critically important enabler.

We are seeking a Product Owner for the OpCo IT Experience to own how operating companies request and receive technology from Enterprise IT — the service catalog and the front-door experience in front of it. This includes both a custom application and the ITSM platform that delivers them (today, ServiceNow) — run as a product, not a project. In the near term, you will lead the hands‑on modernization of the ServiceNow platform and the catalog. In steady state, you own the full product layer – the front door custom application as well as the service catalog.

What You’ll Do Lead the Platform Modernization

Your first priority is to lead the modernization of an ITSM environment (today, ServiceNow) that has grown organically and now needs to scale. You will set the direction for what gets rebuilt and why, working hands‑on with the architecture team and a third-party delivery partner. You know how to design well throught through processes and bring enough platform depth to be a credible peer in the room — evaluating business requirements against technical requirements and principles, prioritizing and defining implementation requirements that meet business need while keeping the rebuild disciplined. This is the first major program of the role, not a permanent one.

Own the Front‑Door Experience

You own our custom front-door application as a product. This product is the first‑stop for Operating Companies looking for IT help from corporate and is the first layer for routing opcos to get what they need quickly and efficiently. That is, it is the first stop for how a request enters and reaches the right answer — questions answered as well as requests fulfilled automatically where it can be and routed to the right team where it cannot. Ultimately, from an operating company's point of view, asking for something and getting it feels like a single, simple experience regardless of where the request is routed.

Own the Service Catalog as a Product

The service catalog is the largest destination the front door routes to — the menu of standard, repeatable IT services. You own the catalog the way a product manager owns a product. You know what is in it, identify the gaps from real operating‑company demand - leveraging insights and synthesis from the Customer Success team -, decide what gets added, and collaborate with process owners retire what is stale. You build the framework that lets delivery teams contribute to the catalog within clear, governed patterns — so the catalog grows without a small team becoming the bottleneck.

Operating companies can reach the catalog directly too, but whether they come through the front door or straight to it, the experience should feel like one coherent system. You own how the front door and the catalog work together so that, from an operating company's point of view, asking for something and getting it is simple.

Govern Without Gating

You set the standards that keep the catalog trustworthy — confirming items are real and deliverable & charge backed where appropriate before they go live. Governance here means keeping the lanes clear, not defining or approving every addition or retirement to the catalog. You make the conversation unnecessary by developing a good governance framework that enables speed, multi‑team contribution, and quality.

Partner with the Technical Organization

You and the technical architecture team are partners. You own the product perspective — what the experience should be and what good looks like for the operating company. They own how it is built. Neither side succeeds without the other, and the partnership runs on a standing rhythm you help define, not ad‑hoc collaboration.

Automate Relentlessly

You build this function with an automation‑first mindset. Today it runs on manual work and tribal knowledge held in individual heads. You scale it not by adding people but by automating the routine and building patterns that hold up as Quanta grows.

What You’ll Bring
  • 8+ years in IT service management, ITSM platform product ownership, or a related ITSM discipline at enterprise scale.
  • Deep ITSM platform expertise — ServiceNow or Ivanti. Hands‑on depth in a major enterprise ITSM platform, specifically ServiceNow or Ivanti. You have designed and evaluated workflow implementations and held third‑party delivery partners accountable for them, and you can read a technical proposal and push back on over‑customization.
  • A genuine product‑ownership mindset. You have run something as a product — with a roadmap, a governance model, and a stakeholder ecosystem — not just executed projects.
  • Hands‑on catalog or ITSM restructuring. You have designed or significantly restructured a service catalog or ITSM function — defining operating processes, building frameworks, and standing up governance. You have led this work or been a core contributor to it.
  • Influence without authority. You have worked in a decentralized or federated organization where you have to influence business units and partners you do not control, and manage delivery through that influence.
  • Structured problem‑solving. Senior consultant level analytical thinking: decomposing messy problems, designing governance processes, coordinating across teams, and turning operational complexity into clear patterns.
  • Partner and Vendor Management. You understand how to work with third‑party consultants and partners effectively - leading them with our company’s vision and standards, while leveraging them for expertise where needed. You also hold them accountable to patterns and principles.
  • Exceptional communication. You will work directly with ITLT and delivery leadership, third‑party delivery partners, and operating‑company stakeholders.
  • Applied ITSM framework knowledge. Applied familiarity with ITIL or a comparable service‑management framework — used, not just certified.
  • Transformation partner experience. Prior work with a third‑party delivery partner in a transformation context — platform modernization, migration, or unwinding over‑customization.
Strongly Preferred
  • Experience in construction, engineering, energy, or infrastructure‑services industries.
  • Experience supporting operating companies in a federated structure where business units keep their autonomy alongside a corporate function.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree required; information systems, computer science, business, or a related field preferred. ITIL Foundation or a similar certification is valued but not required — we are hiring for judgment and execution, not credentials.
