Job description

Senior Product Owner for our Digital Estate (focused on Fraud and Merchant Disputes):

a. Product Owner Experience

b. Some domain experience (Credit cards, contact center)

c. Web/App Experience

d. Fraud process experience (i.e. Merchant Disputes, Fraud Cases)

Job Description:

• 8+ years of relevant experience

Key Responsibilities

Product Vision & Strategy

• Define the roadmap for dispute management, case routing, and fraud detection tools.

• Research and integrate third-party fraud prevention technologies and identity verification vendors.

• Stay updated on card network regulations, reason codes, and compliance requirements.

Backlog Management

• Write epics, features, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria for engineering teams.

• Prioritize the product backlog based on business value, fraud risk trends, and operational bottlenecks.

• Manage integrations with core banking systems, CRM platforms, and payment gateways.

Agile Delivery

• Lead sprint planning, backlog refinement, and daily standups with software developers.

• Clarify functional requirements and remove technical or operational roadblocks.

• Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate new fraud rules and dispute workflows before release.

Stakeholder & Operations Collaboration

• Partner with risk analysts, card operations, compliance, and customer support teams.

• Translate manual operational workflows into scalable, automated product features.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Experience: 8+ years in product management or agile delivery, specifically within fintech, payments, or banking.

• Domain Knowledge: Knowledge of credit card systems, fraud detection mechanisms, or personalized customer marketing. Deep understanding of the chargeback lifecycle, merchant acquirer/issuer rules, fraud typologies (e.g., friendly fraud, account takeover), and payment network guidelines.

• Technical Skills: Experience with case management systems, workflow engines (e.g., Salesforce, Pega), and data analytics tools. Experience deploying generative AI or automated decisioning tools is increasingly preferred. Familiarity with Python, SQL, and data visualization tools, along with an understanding of AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, LangChain

• Certifications: Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar agile credentials are a plus.
