Senior Network Automation Engineer

Location: Chandler, Arizona (Hybrid)

Employment Type: Contract

Contract Duration: 09 Months

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Network Automation Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing automation strategies for network configuration, monitoring, and management. This role involves designing and maintaining scripts and tools to automate network tasks and workflows, providing technical leadership, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement automation strategies for network configuration, monitoring, and management.
  • Design and maintain scripts and tools to automate network tasks and workflows using Python and shell scripts.
  • Implement and manage network orchestration tools to streamline operations.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for deployment automation.
  • Deploy code to development, QA, Staging, and Production servers.
  • Lead code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand network requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior network architects and engineers.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for systems, processes, and configurations.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation to support application users as required.
Required Qualifications

Education: A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required, or equivalent work experience.

Experience: A minimum of 7 years of proven experience as a network architect or in a similar senior-level network engineering role is required. Candidates should have an extensive background in designing and implementing enterprise-level network solutions and substantial experience with network automation tools and practices.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in network protocols, services, and standards (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, VLANs, VRFs).

Strong proficiency in Python programming and Linux OS (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS).

Experience with network automation tools such as Ansible.

Familiarity with software-defined networking (SDN) concepts, such as Arista CVP or Cisco ACI.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.

Primary skill in Data Virtualization - Composite & Data Fabric.
