Class A CDL Delivery & Maintenance Specialist

Location: Millville, NJ Distribution Center

Join the Explore Industries Team!

At Explore Industries, we’re more than just a leader in fiberglass swimming pool design and manufacturing—we’re a family dedicated to respect, integrity, and innovation. We believe in empowering every employee to bring their unique ideas to the table and making a positive impact on people’s lives by delivering backyard joy to families across the country.

We are looking for an experienced Class A CDL Delivery & Maintenance Specialist to join our dynamic team at our Millville, NJ Distribution Center. In this versatile, hands-on role, you’ll combine safe oversized-load driving and loading with essential facility and equipment maintenance. You’ll ensure our world-class fiberglass pools and spas are properly prepared, loaded, and delivered while keeping our operations running smoothly through preventive maintenance and repairs.

About the Role

As our Class A CDL Delivery & Maintenance Specialist, you’ll be right in the action—handling deliveries throughout the Northeastern United States, performing detailed preparation and minor repairs on pools, and providing critical maintenance support for equipment and facilities. You’ll drive a company-provided truck (with all necessary equipment and back-office support), operate telehandlers for loading/unloading, and apply your mechanical and electrical skills to minimize downtime.

You’ll typically be on the road 2–4 times per week with infrequent overnight stays. We’ve got you covered with meal per diem, hotel coverage (when needed), and fuel reimbursement.

What You’ll Do

  • Safely load and unload fiberglass swimming pools and equipment using Telehandlers (Lull-style) and other tools
  • Drive a Class A truck for oversized load deliveries primarily throughout the Northeastern United States
  • Inspect, detail, and perform minor fiberglass/gelcoat repairs on pools and spas in preparation for shipment or storage
  • Assist in route planning, pilot car arrangements, and ensure timely deliveries
  • Comply with all DOT regulations, oversized load rules, company policies, and maintain accurate ELD/documentation
  • Perform preventive maintenance and general repairs on industrial machinery, facility equipment, HVAC, plumbing, and lighting systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical components, including wiring, motors, and control panels
  • Conduct occasional welding (MIG/TIG/Stick) for equipment repairs or light fabrication
  • Document maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, fuel, tolls, and support monthly inventory counts
  • Perform refueling, cleaning, preventative maintenance, and vehicle inspections; report mechanical or safety issues promptly
  • Handle chemicals safely, dispose of waste properly, and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area after each shift
  • Follow all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout, electrical safety, and proper hazardous material handling
  • Collaborate with dispatch, drivers, and the site team in a fast-paced environment

What We’re Looking For

Education and Experience

  • Current unrestricted Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) held for 2+ years, with ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles
  • 6+ months oversized load experience
  • Current TWIC card and unexpired passport
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
  • Ability to pass drug/alcohol screening, DOT physical, and provide a current medical certificate
  • 2+ years of hands-on facility and industrial maintenance experience
  • Experience operating Telehandlers (Lull-style), forklifts, and power tools
  • Welding experience and knowledge of electrical troubleshooting and repair, HVAC, plumbing, and lighting systems
  • Experience with fiberglass/gelcoat repair and detailing (preferred)
  • Ability to sit for extended periods, lift a minimum of 75 lbs., climb ladders, and work outdoors in various weather conditions

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong safety focus and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with dispatch, pilot car drivers, and team members
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage tasks under time pressure
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations, chemical handling, and 5S principles (a plus)
  • Commitment to providing great customer experiences every day

Why Explore Industries?

Compensation

  • Hourly Range: $26.00 - $32.00, with regular compensation increase as job related skills are developed.
  • Additional Earnings: Meal per diem, hotel and fuel cost coverage for all qualifying trips
  • Actual compensation will be based on experience and current job-related skills.

Benefits & Additional Compensation

Eligible employees receive:

  • Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) and paid holidays
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance options
  • Optional life and disability insurance
  • Potential access to other incentives or compensation programs based on role and company policy.

Ready to dive in? If you’re an experienced Class A CDL driver who also enjoys hands-on loading, detailing, and teamwork, this is a great opportunity to contribute to quality craftsmanship while making regional deliveries and delivering joy to families in the Northeast!
