What are Overpass operators and what do they do?

Overpass operators are professionals who manage and oversee the operation and maintenance of overpasses, which are elevated roadways or bridges that cross over other roads, railways, or obstacles. Their responsibilities include ensuring structural integrity, monitoring traffic flow, coordinating repairs, and responding to safety concerns. Overpass operators may work with local governments, transportation departments, or private contractors to keep overpasses safe and functional. They also play a role in implementing safety protocols and inspecting the infrastructure regularly. Their work helps maintain efficient and secure transportation networks in urban and rural areas.
