Job description

Lloyd's Barbeque (a subsidiary of Hormel Corporation) is looking for General Workers at our Mendota Heights facility. Pay for the position starts at $23.95 per hour. The Sanitation Worker's task include:

  • Abiding by all Lloyd's Barbeque plant safety rules
  • Wearing all required PPE
  • Being trained in the use of many different chemicals
  • Using a hose to clean mechanical equipment
  • Working overnight shifts
  • Completing all necessary paperwork correctly and in a timely manner
  • Operating an electric Pallet Jack (in-house training provided)
  • Relieving other Lloyd's BBQ plant positions as necessary (additional pay provided if relieving a higher pay grade position)
  • Following good manufacturing practices (GMP's)
  • Perform any and all duties (washroom and production) as assigned by 1st line supervisor.

Requirements of the position include:

  • Ability to work safely
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to bend and turn at the waist, squat, reach overhead
  • Lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to learn and perform multiple positions (after being provided training)
  • Work in a refrigerated environment (35 -- 45 degrees)
  • Good communication skills
  • Handle a variety of meat products (including pork)
