We are looking for a VP, Software Engineering to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.

Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary VP, Software Engineering to lead software development strategy, engineering operations, and technical innovation initiatives. This onsite leadership role will oversee engineering teams responsible for building scalable, high-impact technology solutions that align with organizational goals and business growth.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of technical leadership, people management, strategic planning, and software delivery experience within modern development environments.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and scale high-performing software engineering teams
  • Drive engineering strategy, architecture, and technology modernization initiatives
  • Partner with executive leadership to align technology solutions with business objectives
  • Oversee software development lifecycle processes and delivery execution
  • Establish best practices for software engineering, quality assurance, security, and DevOps
  • Mentor engineering leaders and foster a collaborative, innovative culture
  • Manage prioritization, resource allocation, and technical roadmap execution
  • Support cloud adoption, scalability, and application performance initiatives
  • Ensure successful delivery of enterprise applications and digital solutions
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend strategic improvements
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of progressive software engineering experience
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing engineering teams or departments
  • Strong background in software architecture and enterprise application development
  • Experience leading agile development organizations
  • Strong knowledge of cloud technologies, DevOps practices, and modern engineering methodologies
  • Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience driving large-scale technology transformation initiatives preferred
