Job description

Job Title: Unarmed Patrol Officer
Shift Schedule: 8-Hour Shifts, Overnight 9pm to 5am or 10pm to 6am 
Location: Azusa, California

Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Unarmed Patrol Officer to join our team, swing and overnight shifts schedule. The Patrol Officer will be responsible for maintaining a visible presence, deterring potential criminal activity, and ensuring the safety and security of assigned properties and their occupants.

This position requires the officer to report to the headquarters in Azusa, California, where they will receive a company patrol vehicle, a cell phone, a body camera, and property keys. After collecting the necessary equipment, the officer will patrol designated districts, respond to incidents, and conduct regular property checks.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct regular patrols of assigned properties and districts, ensuring a secure and safe environment.
- Respond promptly to alarms, suspicious activities, and other security-related incidents.
- Document all patrol activities and incidents using company-provided software and technology.
- Use communication devices, including a cell phone and two-way radio, to coordinate with the dispatch team and report any issues.
- Follow post orders and client-specific instructions with attention to detail.
- Ensure the company patrol vehicles and equipment are maintained and used responsibly.
- Report any maintenance or safety concerns related to company vehicles or equipment.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services if necessary.
- Provide excellent customer service and assistance to property occupants and the general public.
- Write detailed, accurate, and timely reports using technology-based reporting tools.

Qualifications:

- Valid California Driver’s License with a clean driving record (required).
- Valid BSIS Guard Card (Bureau of Security and Investigative Services) (required).
- Must be comfortable using technology, including mobile devices and reporting software.
- Strong ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Professional demeanor, with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently, stay alert, and make sound decisions.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and committed to the rotating schedule.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening as part of the hiring process.

Work Environment:

- Work is primarily performed outdoors while driving a patrol vehicle or walking the perimeter of assigned properties.
- Patrols are conducted during night hours and may involve exposure to different weather conditions.
- The position involves high vigilance and alertness during overnight hours.
