Job description

About the Role

Sneakers Plus is a busy custom apparel shop producing uniforms and gear for sports teams, schools, and events — and embroidery is at the core of what we do. We're looking for an experienced Embroidery Machine Operator to run production on our shop floor: a Tajima 8-head, two Tajima 6-head machines, and a Tajima single-head. If you know your way around multi-head commercial embroidery and want steady, varied production work, we'd like to hear from you.

What You'll Do

  • Operate our Tajima embroidery machines — 8-head, two 6-head, and single-head — across daily production runs
  • Hoop garments and load designs accurately for production runs
  • Monitor machines during operation, troubleshoot thread breaks, tension issues, and misalignment
  • Perform routine machine maintenance (cleaning, oiling, needle changes)
  • Inspect finished embroidery for quality and consistency
  • Assist with other print shop duties as needed (order prep, packaging, general production support)
  • Keep your work area organized and follow shop safety practices

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience operating multi-head commercial embroidery machines — Tajima experience strongly preferred
  • Comfortable running production on multiple machines/heads at once
  • Good eye for detail and quality control
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a small team
  • Willingness to help with other print shop tasks beyond embroidery
  • Bonus: Experience with embroidery digitizing or artwork/design is a plus

Schedule & Pay

  • 30–40 hours per week
  • Starting pay: $18/hour (potential for higher based on experience level)
