Job description

Own The Overnight In Music City
When Nashville's stages dim and the city's last encore fades, a different kind of performance begins. At Hampton Inn & Suites Nashville Downtown Capitol View, you'll be the steady hand behind a seamless overnight operation-protecting the integrity of the books, welcoming late-arriving guests, and setting the hotel up for a brilliant new day.
This is a role for someone who appreciates precision, thrives on independence, and knows that exceptional hospitality doesn't clock out when the sun goes down. From balancing revenue to helping a guest find their way after a night on Broadway, you'll bring calm, polish, and sharp attention to detail to every shift.
Your Overnight Spotlight
  • Audit, balance, post, and report all front desk, room, and food-and-beverage cash and credit activity with exacting accuracy.
  • Ensure hotel accounting activity is properly processed and recorded, helping safeguard the hotel, brand, and ownership from liability and fraud.
  • Review the day's revenue, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues before running the final overnight audit.
  • Reset registers and prepare systems for an efficient, accurate start to the next business day.
  • Create clear, reliable reports that give hotel leadership a meaningful view of rooms and revenue performance.
  • Deliver warm, capable front-desk service to guests throughout the overnight hours-because Nashville hospitality is always in session.
  • Serve as a trusted on-property presence, bringing composure and sound judgment when guests and colleagues need support.
The Experience You'll Bring
You have a sharp eye for details others miss and the confidence to work independently in a fast-moving hotel environment. You're comfortable moving between numbers, systems, and guest interactions without missing a beat.
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
  • Accounting, cash-handling, front desk, or hotel operations experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to compile facts, figures, and financial information accurately and efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills, with a professional and courteous approach in person and over the phone.
  • Comfort using office technology, hotel systems, software, and cash-handling equipment.
  • Ability to occasionally lift or move luggage weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • A naturally welcoming style and the poise to represent a downtown Nashville hotel after hours.
Why You'll Love It Here
Hampton Inn & Suites Nashville Downtown Capitol View puts you at the center of one of America's most electric cities. Every shift connects you to the energy of Music City-business travelers, concertgoers, weekend explorers, and guests arriving for the Nashville experience they've been waiting for.
You'll join a team that values genuine hospitality, operational excellence, and the kind of teamwork that makes every guest feel at home, whether they're checking in at noon or arriving long after midnight.

  • Life insurance
  • Short-term and long-term disability coverage
  • 401(k) plan
  • Supplemental insurance options
